How to make easy pom pom garland
One thing I am hoping never goes out of style for a long time is pom poms. They are cute and stylish no matter what size they are. I have two girls that share a room at our house. Their tastes couldn’t be the farthest apart. But what they could agree on when we were decorating their room was cute pom pom garland. We decided to make a cute DIY one.
Tools we need:
I started by wrapping the yarn many times around both arches (I call them arms). The more you wrap the yarn around the thicker your pom pom will be.
Then put the arches back together to make a full circle and cut the yarn on both sides of the arches.
Cut another piece of yarn and tie it tight around the groove. Make sure to tie it as tight as possible This is what holds the pom pom together.
Then pull it apart.
You may have some straggly pieces of yarn that you may need to trim. Repeat making the pom poms, as many as you need for the length of your garland. Try different colours, have fun with some patterns. Grab another piece of yarn the length you want for the pom pom. Attach the needle to the yarn and sew through the centre of each pom pom. Then vola, a pom pom garland.
The girls had a shelf that my husband made years ago when Conor (my oldest) was little. I could never part with it. It looks so pretty don’t you think?
